As another set of projections roll in, a GOP insider has told CNN that it was "all over for McCain". The Republican contender has held Utah, but the Democrats have made their second gain of the night taking Iowa. The BBC suggested the Iowa gain was partly due to McCain's negative policy on ethanol fuel. The next group of states to close are California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington state and Hawaii. CNN has declared McCain has won Arkansas, something several other networks had already decided. Indiana remains too close to call as does Virginia, Florida and North Carolina.
