The Channel Tunnel has been closed to all passenger and freight services the BBC has reported. According to reports all services were halted after an alarm went off. The Kent Fire and Rescue service say the incident was "serious". French firefighters have been sent into the tunnel at Calais to investigate. Sky News say the incident was near to the French side.
