Pakistani PM survives assassination attempt


The Prime Minister of Pakistan has survived an assassination attempt while travelling through Rawalpindi according to reports. There are accusations of a lapse in security following the attempt on the leader’s life. PM Yousaf Raza Gilani was said to be unhurt which occurred as he was being driven along the highway between Lahore and Islamabad. The assassin’s bullets struck the window on the right side of the black Mercedes in which the Prime Minister was travelling. The bullet proof glass prevented the two bullets from passing through and Gilani is continuing with his duties. CNN reported that the PM had only recently taken to using a bullet proof vehicle after recent security threats.
