Polls close in Montana, Iowa, Nevada and Utah at 03:00 GMT, but already several networks can't see how McCain can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Thousands of Obama supporters have already gathered in Grant Park in central Chicago for a celebration rally and they may well not be disappointed. Meanwhile ABC has projected McCain will hold Mississippi.
