US - Tornadoes leave 27 dead
Rare February tornadoes have killed 27 people in the US. Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky were the worst hit with the storms damaging homes, factories and at least one hospital. More than 100 were injured in the tornadoes which forced the closure of some polling stations [CNN]

My heart goes to all those affected by these harsh weather conditions but all the time these things happen in the US l always wonder why Americans still build their houses from mostly wood.ls it cheaper or what?

It's amazing, storms skips over Afro-American and other ethnic communities. No mention of the above communities affected in CNN news report.
